Mission: 1852 restored water wheel grist mill that was in operation for 70 years. The only operating water wheel in Illinois.

Admission Info: Open April - mid-November, Tuesday - Sunday, 10 am - 4:30 pm. Admission fee.

Mission: Greenbank Mill is a representative working farm and a water wheel-powered flour mill that operated 1790s-1830. An earlier gristmill was bought by Robert Philips who ran it during the 1790s-1830 period. In 1793 Philips hired Delaware inventor Oliver Evans to automate the mill, using a series of bucket elevators and screw conveyors.

Admission Info: Open early March mid-December, 10 am 4 pm. Admission fee.

Mission: 1877 flour mill built by Barrington Price; James Jones roller mill and a Barford and Perkins grinder. Now last example of a pioneer British Columbia mill that still has its original machinery and building in place. Restored to 1881 state. Working waterwheel and flume provide power to mill machinery. Price's old store now a museum of hands-on exhibits to demonstrate principles involved in 19th-century milling. Grist mill has heirloom apple orchard. Living museum of wheat growing on upper fields, and organically-managed heritage gardens.
